Dear All

I am travelling to Dubai later this month and i have a couple of questions i would like an answer to.

1. About clothing. I know that shorts are accepted, but are they also required to cover the full knee? I know that hot-pants or similar is not well seen, but is it okay to have them cover halv-knee or similar?

2. Me and my travel-partner wish to go on a desert safari. Is it recommended to book this in advance, or can it be done, when we arrive? Can you recommend any specific operator?

3. Anyone know what the prices is for the metro?

Thanks Reply to this

Dubai is Islamic nation. So please follow their tradition . Wear longer flowing clothes. Also if it is made from light material it will help keep you cool when breezes blow.

Hi John,

Let meanswer your questions:

1-You can wear what a ever you want, but still we always ask our guests to wear a really decent clothes. We are not asking to wear something long dress or covering all your body but just be some how logic :)

2- You don't have to book in advance. Just ask the hotel and they will provide for you. They are mostly good companies for desert safari.

3. The metro price is very reasonable. The price start from AED1.80 to AED5.60 (about US$0.49 to US$1.53) that is for one way.

4. Yes you can use Visa Electron in Dubai.

I hopeI haven't answered you too late. But you are welcome to Dubai. Reply to this
