Back in January, there was news about a mall to open in Nanjing China. This mall will feature all fake brands, knock-offs from the real brand. For example, the mall was to have a Pizza Huh, McDnoald’s and Bucksstar. I assure you, none of those were typos. The mall was to also sell Adidos (Adidas), Dama (Puma), A&G (D&G), and Lokasta (Lacoste).
Does anyone know if this mall has opened yet? Has anyone been to it?

Reply to this Haha this sounds like a pretty funny place. There's more than enough knock-offs in China already though!
Reply to this you just mention pizza hut and my stomach shrinks. It's so crappy back home, but in China it serves great food. This article - http://thinkingchinese.com/index.php?page_id=145 could express myself better.
Reply to this There are several replica starbucks coffee shops in downtown guangzhou .Probably it could bring them more business . We chinese call it pangmingpai. But frankly speaking , it is very common here if you see how big the replica wholesale markets is in Guangzhou. It is only money matters indeed.Just kidding...
Reply to this I just went to Grandview Mall earlier today and very interested ,i found two replica starbucks there and the most interesting part is that the real starbucks is just around two minutes walk time from the replica ones here
Reply to this Here's a lovely quote from Leslie T. Chang's book
Factory Girls about the young migrant workers powering the southern factory boomtown Dongguan not far from Shenzhen and the Hong Kong border:
In Dongguan there is a fake IKEA and a fast-food chain whose name translates as "McKFC" and a ten-story building that calls itself the Haiyatt Hotel, with a marble lobby and a decidedly lax attitude toward copyright violation ("We have an 'i' in our name, they don't," explains a young woman at the front desk).
