No, I haven't heard of the pet only airline. If it does take off (good one haha), I imagine it'd be quite a scene...
Reply to this But, if the pet owners are not allowed on the pet only plane isnt it as bad as having to put the pets in the cargo hold? The owners still would not be able to be with their pet during the flight.
Reply to this I think it's a big waste of money and resources to fly a pet only plane...unless it'll also be transporting valuable cargo in the cargo hold. I mean each flight costs millions of dollars...from gasoline, employee salaries (on plane at on ground at airport), and the fees and taxes paid to land or take off at each airport. So to fly a pet only plane? The airfare must be mighty expensive to cover all those costs. In which case, why would people choose to put their pets on those planes when they can fly with Air Canada at an affordable price (assuming we're talking about the small pets). It just doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Maybe we should just let pets be. "Domestic" means home/household, so maybe we should leave our pets there. Or travel by boat/car seem more reasonable as travel means.
On the other hand, airlines in the USA are also allowing pets on board now, so I guess Air Canada (and others) is simply just keeping up with the industry. There must've been an overgrowing demand to allow pets on board in order to bring about such a change....if you are one of these people, speak up! We want to hear what you have to say : ).

And would the pets enjoy or even appreciate it?
