Ibiza Spain-help me plan a trip for ....

My son is in the Army, has been in Afghanistan. Him and Some of his friends want to visit Ibiza on their 30 day leave. I need to help them plan it ..as they are in a remote area right now.

I need advice and help FAST. Of course, I want to help my son ...have the vacation of a life time with his buddies...as they have been risking their lives for over a year now! I called a travel agent and was shocked to see what the price in flights were. I've decided to help them buy tickets on line. { most the guys will be 21 to 25 years old or so. }

They will be flying out of Texas...maybe Killheen, or Austin.

Where is a great place to stay?

What about transportation?

What are some must see places?

Places to eat?

What should they allow a day for food? Lodging??

Anything that you all could tell me would be great!

I'm a go-getter and I would like to see this happen for them. I talked to one of the Army moms and she said, " I don't see how this is gonna' happen, I just don't see it working, my son doesn't even have a passport."

I told her....this definately can happen and here's how you expedite a passport.

So now....just the PLANNING. Reply to this

Best place to stay is in playa den bossa, it is where all the good clubs are bora bora beach club for day beach parties

can get buses to anywhere on the island otherwise taxis are always available even if they are the "unofficial" ones

along all the strips there are great places to eat (if they feel up to it) i went to a different place each time and always got a good feed for a good price

places to see? you go to ibiza for the nightlife, i was there a week and didnt see any "sights"..best clubs id recommend are pacha, privilege, space, amnesia

this website may help
http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/ibiza_clubs_i.htm

to get a cheaper flight id get a flight to barcelona or another major city near ibiza and then get an internal flight from there..we got return flights form barcelona for 50 euro, so if you can get to europe cheapish then getting to ibiza is also cheap Reply to this

Great advice, I was hoping I would get a response quick. For that I thank you. Forgive me for not knowing...but how do you get an "internal flight"? Should they be booked ahead of time?
Thanks for the link too.

yeah you can book ahead of time

jump on a site like one of these

www.expedia.com

or

www.skyscanner.net

and they will search through the cheapest flights from where you want to depart from in to ibiza

then you just print off the ticket

nice and easy 😊 Reply to this

Sweet.....!!!

I did call a travel agent, she didn't seem too excited about helping me...

So here I am!

Oh...how much do they really need for expenses=...food..., clubs?

Sorry if the questions seem...silly....we don't have alot of time.

Thanks. Reply to this

clubs usually charge 30-60 euro depending on who is playing

tiesto, armin van buuren ect are 60 euro, if you buy your tickets during the day though it will be 5-10 euro cheaper

drinks are ridiculously expensive in the clubs

8 euro -small bottle of water (you cant refill your water at the taps as its salt water)
15 euro -red bull
22 euro-vodka, burboun, rum ect

prices vary from club to club but thats the average

which is why everyone is on drugs there as they are so cheap!

food and alcohol out of the clubs are cheap..can get a pint of vodka red bull for 5 euro from bars and restaurants

main meals for around 8-12 euro from little caffe's and restaurants or just go to a supermarket for cheaper Reply to this
