my granddaughter and I are leaving for munich June 4, 2009 and plan to take a train to barii, then a ferry to athens. we want to go to santorini and myconos. we have 19 days. Do you think this can be done? We then need to get back the same way to fly out of munich.
How many days should we plan for each of athens, santorini, myconos.

Reply to this It all depend on what you want to see and do but in 2 days you got a good impression of Athens. All of the main attractions are close together.
To see Myconos you only need one day.
You can see the most of Santorini in one day too but it's so beautiful you probably don't want to leave...
Reply to this I do not think that you need only 2 days to see athens and 2 days to see Mykonos and Santorini. I advice you as I am from Greece, Athens, to spend a week or 5 days to Athens to see the town during day and night, there so much things to do and the other days to visit Mykonos and Santorini. regards !!! Reply to this Well 4-5 days are enough to see the most touristy attractions in Athens, however I do not think that Myconos is worth visiting especially at your occasion. Santorini is a really great island to visit and see the volcano the world know sunset..But I would recommend visiting the island of Crete at the far south. You may reach it my boat from Santorini and you may spend more than 10 days there without being bored at all! It is the biggest island in Greece and full of attractions! There are many beaches that I consider them of the best in the world! Take a minute and search for Falassarna, Elafonissi, Ballos lagoon(!!), Kedrodasos, Plakias, Vai (yes, a palm beach in Crete!) and so many other..
