Planning to do an intensive course in Spanish in Barcelona in august-september 06. Need help/advice on accomodation, living and maybe working in Barcelona!

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to do an intensive Spanish course in Barcelona in august-september 06. I've been to Barcelona on short holiday before and absolutely loved it and been dreaming of going there again ever since.

I've actually already found a language school but need to sort out accomodation for the time I'm there...I'd prefer to get myself some sort of small apartment (1 room) as central as possible for about 3-4 weeks. Considering its all going to probably get pretty expensive, I'd probably need to get some sort of mini-parttime-job for the duration as well (am very flexible and not too picky about this, as long as it helps finance my study and stay there)...

I'd be very glad to hear from anyone who has any tips, advice or help for me!!

Thanks in advance! Reply to this

How much is the language course and is it for complete beginners? I'm touring Europe and my plans leave me in Spain between the months you have stated...............I would love to learn the language! Reply to this

Hi Michael,

the course I'm considering doing would be with the the DIALOG language school coz I just happened to find a lot of information on their courses (German based international language school I think they are), but there's tons of other language schools you can do it with in Barcelona as well:

-Don Quijote
-Ole Languages
-Sol Barcelona
-Tandem Barcelona
-IH Barcelona
-Estudio Hispanico
-SpeakEasy BCN

...and the list goes on and on and on...most of them offer intensive courses for complete beginners as well, some offer accomodation as well, so you just need to check them all out and find out what they offer and what the costs are :-)
