Help! Planning a RTW trip on my own need some advice.

Hey,

As the above states I am in the process of planning a trip for next year. I have a few questions if anyone can help!

I am looking to go for a couple of months visiting Sydney,Auckland, Fiji, Tonga, Rio and Buenos Aires maybe a bit of Italy too if possible.

I am looking into flights with STA and they have quoted £1700, does anyone think this is a lot and if I should possibly pay for flights along the way?

Also if anyone has done a similar trip how much did you take with you?

I am also doing this on my own, just wondering if this is a good idea or should I try to get someone to go with?

Hope it doesn't sound like I'm rambling on, just got so many questions!!

Thanks in advance.

Hello Ash 😊

I think it is generally cheaper to buy a round the world ticket than to buy individual flight tickets to cover the distance you want to travel. To compare the costs you could try the following search engine to check what the individual flights would cost.

Not necessarily. Lots of peolple travel alone. You would meet lots of people along the way to hang out with and maybe travel a bit of the way with.
If you do want to find a travel companion you could try the following forum.

Hi Ash

I have travel on my own a lot and I really have never been alone. I found that I was way more eager to meet new people than if I was with someone else and truly the people I met and traveled a bit with were amazing.

If you are heading between Rio and BA a couple of days spent exploring the Iguazu falls is well worth it, one of the most beautiful places I have been in my life.

If you want a experience of life in the Favelas in Rio check out amazing tour and totally safe. I highly recomend it
