Alex and Katie in amazing overalls Hey everyone! How are yall back home? Thank you for all of the comments I love getting messages from everyone!
Okay, so I didn’t write about yesterday, but really we didn´t do all that much. In the morning, like usual, I got up really early and sat in bed for a while. I don’t know if I´ve gone over this, but here´s the deal. At 7 in the morning there is an aerobics class, not too close, may I add, and their music wakes me up everymorning. I don´t know what song was playing yesterday to wake me up, but today it was the Numa Numa song. Yeah. That was pleasant. So after a quick and early breakfast I went to an internet café so I could communicate with all of you people. Well I was on the computer for a little over an hour, and I was loading pictures from the day before, which took FOREVER on these oh-so-slow computers. So, I went to pay..and the bill was about a dollar, which is pretty good. Okay, so I look for money. And all I have is a 20 dollar bill. First of all, no one EVER has change for
Clever picture!
Katie, Clever, Alex, me, Sarah Liz a twenty. Ever. So I apologized extensively, but that was all I had. So, the guy ran out of the store to get some change. It took him about 10 minutes, but he comes back with a bag of coins. Coins. So he takes his dollar, and I walk away with about 19 dollars of change (in dollar coins and 50 cent coins that they really use). My purse was really heavy.
Haha, but anyways, so then we all worked on what to do for the school day, then went to school, etc. It went pretty well except that Allison was starting to feel sick so it was just me and Daylin teaching. (Actually, Allison didn´t even go to school today, se was pretty ill.) I honestly can´t even remember what all happened yesterday at school, but I know that there were about 36 kids. We were expecting no more than 30. So we were lacking supplies and it´s just so sad to have to tell a little kid that you can´t give then a notebook because you just don’t have enough. Ayy.
Ok so then we got home and I took a nap, I was so exhausted.
Pedro again
I know yall have seen him a lot, but this is a good pic b-c you can see him without his had. he cut a circle of his hair off and had to have it all shaved! haha! i got hit really hard tho because i stole his had for this picture Then we walked around and then went out to eat instead of eating at the hostal. We went to this place called Sahara, it was so amazing. It was a Middle Eastern restaurant. I had hummus and a really interesting salad (because I am sure yall are so interested). But the atmosphere was just so incredible. First of all, you sit on these little mat thingies, and the tables are less than a foot off of the floor. So we got there around 7:30…and waited forever for our food. But that is how it is here. You order and then wait and wait..meals take forever, but that´s okay. Really I don’t normally mind, then only problem was that we were supposed to have our second salsa lesson with Clever! Sadly, it didn´t work out because we didn’t have our food by 8:30 so Katie had to walk down to the gym and tell him we weren´t coming. He said we could come after we ate, no problem, but it´s a bit sketch so we didn´t. Haha.
Okay so today. Well I slept in a different room last night so I wouldn’t wake up so early, and I didn’t! I
Sahara
The cool place where we ate slept in until 8! It was amazing. So we had the scrumptious breakfast as normal and then planned for school today. Well my group decided to a bunch of worksheets. That meant that we needed copies…so Dina and I went to a copy store and asked for zillions of copies of things. By this time it was 12. so we waited for about half an hour but the copy machine had a malfunction, so we just left everything and came back for our papers. Every worksheet that I wanted I made 40 copies of, thinking that would be okay. Well Daylin and I got into school today and whoop de doo, there were about 46 kids. En serio. 46. That is WAYY more than any one would have expected (or wanted to be honest) especially with Allison out sick. It was a very long day, let me tell you. The worksheets worked out well, except I didn’t have enough and I felt awful for that. Anyways, some girl even ended up crying and I had to make them apologize, and it was soo loud and no one was listening and we didn’t have enough notebooks for everyone and one boy that I had scolded yesterday was bad again today! Ayy. It´s difficult. But I will just force a smile and tomorrow act as happy as can be and pray tonight that there won´t be as many. I know that sounds horrid, and I want as many to learn as possible, but having this many kids is actually hindrance to them. And each day, each kid brings their other brother or their other friend…so many. Ay.
Oh, on the way to this internet café, I bought these amazing peanuts that are roasted in sugar and are all coated in amazing goodness… They are so good and yet so bad. And there is a really cute puppy in the store! Haha. Well really that is about all for me, I gotta go eat some dinner and try to load a few pictures for yall. We have salsa tonight again! Ill take pictures of Clever.. haha!
Xoxo
Laura
Ps, sorry not many pictures it is taking wayyyy too long and I have to run for dinner! Everyone else has left already!

Hi hon! I'm sorry, gotta be the mom, I thought you weren't supposed to eat salad-washed in water and all...Who is Allison? what's wrong with her? Do you mean you had 46 students and 2 teachers? Are the kids all ages or just ones that need to take the test in August? Sounds challenging!!!HFBS
