Stuck in Huacachina

We are now in Huacachina which is an oasis town in the middle of these huge sand dunes. The bus from Lima took about 5 hrs so we arrived late afternoon. We checked into a pretty nice hostel call Casa de Arena which has a nice pool w a bar right outside. After we checked in we went on a dune buggy and sand boarding tour. Let me tell you, snowboarding is cake compared to sandboarding. It is so hard to turn and control yourself. That could also be bc you are riding down on a plywood board w velcro straps that lost their stickiness a long time ago. Anyway the dune buggy was awesome although we pretty often got sprayed w radiator fluid since the engine compartment was wide open.

So the original plan was to only stay here until the night of the 24th but we were dissapointed to find out that there were no available buses to Arequipa until the 27th. So far we have made the best of it though. Met alot of cool people that we have gone out w everynight but they have come and gone.
