aLOHA! tHIS IS THE PART OF Giseth, TAKING PICTURES! Yes, this were 3 days of sun, fun, swimming pool, parties, lough and mosquito bites!! The best part was when I locked the keys of the house inside of the house at 5am, when nasty mosquitos start their bloody dance!!! José was not in the best shape to climb the walls and me neither, even though I kind of practice climbing:). So we had to use some brake in trick that we saw in the movies with a help of security guy to enter the house!!! Funny hot weekend!! Nice housy! Kiss [View Full Entry]

Bogota
Bogota
Plaza Bolivar
It´s not that bad. I don´t know what all the fuss is about. Yes, 7 million people, and yes, a little pollution but no worse than any other SA city and it certainly doesn´t feel over-crowded, well nothing does compared to London. It´s 2,600m high but it felt like sea level to me, being the pro that I am. Snowdonia, let me laugh in its face. In Bogota, transport is craked with busetas going everywhere and the Transmilenio (electrically driven bus) going north and south. It´s easy and nice´n cheap too. Jason, got pick-pocketed on it though, so watch out when [View Full Entry]

Zipaquira

South America » Colombia » Bogota
Zipaquira 50ks from Bogota, we thought we´d come here first and check out the "magnificent" salt cathedral ($0.50cents) before Bogota. It would be good, if it wasn´t for the money making business around it. The cathedral is completely underground, you descend 180 metres into the salt chapels. It is quite dark, but happily not that cold. As you do the walk of the 15 crosses (still not sure if that´s the correct number), you forget that the marble around you is actually not marble but salt. And common table salt at that. I never knew it could be so strong. Next [View Full Entry]

With Dirk we decided to drink some blood. Victor was so afraid that he moved to his girlfriends house for a moment.
I can not believe, time is passing so fast!! And I am having a great time! I have been taking some pictures and waiting for my cheque, I hope today I am finnaly getting my payment. We were planning to go for a trip in a "terra caliente", hot place but in the end everything fall in the water. The next plan was to climb 5200m high mountain in the Sierra Nevada de Cocuy, but as far there is a winter at the moment also this fall in the water. I am slowly getting used that plans are changing every 10, [View Full Entry]

Yes indeed, with its people, music, nature, life,....Colombia is a passion. Once you pop you cant stop, like Pringles.
Hola Ursula Cortez aqui! I have a new name from now on. No I did not get married with a Colombiano;). As you might know Spanish speaking people have some strange pronunciation of letters. Especially with J, H , Y and C. Por ejemplo! J is always pronounced like H. so dont look strange if they write to you on MSN “ jejeje” instead of ”heheheh”;) . The other strange thing happens with H, that disappear and “Helado” becomes “Elado”. An not to mention C, which is pronounced like K. So each time when I wanted to say my name is [View Full Entry]

Rest of the world;)) We also had a girlie league where I score some goals;))) We continued refreshing ourselves in a nearby restaurant with some cold " Costena & Aguila" and finished the night in Barbie, where by a coincidence also met Davor (Cro) & Dunja (Cro) & co. After a good lunch Quilichao (the food from the coast), that is what happened to Eliana.
There are quite few funny things that Colombians do! For example: When they meet it looks like these! A:Hola! B:Hola! A:Y que mas? (And what else?) B:Bien! (good) sooo, this seems very funny for me...Cause they do not say anything, but they are asking eachother what else???funny. And than the answer is good;)) Ok, what is happening on the last days??
