Took an overnight bus from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, somewhere around the 15th of April. Don´t remember for sure. anyway, i wanted to head south before winter set in. Bariloche is a great place, many parks in the area, great lakes and good hiking. but before i get to that, i want to talk about the bus ride. we are talking luxury, first class. full leather seats-beds, they fold into a flat bed. there was an attendant on board and he served meals, wine, whiskey and champagne!!! nice ... read more

Hello all, We had a good time in Valdivia, Chile. We stayed in a "haunted house". Okay, it wasn´t really haunted, but it sure looked that way from the outside. Ryan dug it from the minute he laid eyes on it. Ana´s opinion was different. To her it looked ancient from the outside and was dark and in slight disrepair inside. The house was built in 1903 and became unlevel during the huge earthquake of 1960. Ana did warm up to the place once the cat, Josefina, napped on her lap through an entire movie. Plus, the room was large and the hosts welcoming. While in Valdivia we enjoyed some local food and attractions. We tried "pichanga" for dinner one night. This past weekend my friends and I decided to go to Bariloche because it was Semana Santa. We got Thursday and Friday off of school and so we thought it was an opportune time to go and check out what Argentina has to offer. We flew into Neuquen which is the capital of the province of Neuquen and then we took a bus to Bariloche. The bus ride was 5 and a half hours, which is a bit different than the four that our travel agent told us. We made it to Bariloche Thursday evening.
