Batu Tulug Caves

For one of our little trips away from the river we climbed up to some caves that were once used as cemeteries. Although looted for decades, they still contain some of the original ironwood coffins that the native people used when animism was practiced. Women's coffins are larger, supposedly because they had more possessions to take with them to the afterlife.
