The Petit Trianon was constructed by Louis XV in 1762. He built the chateau for his mistress and advisor, Madame de Pompadour, and used it to escape the court.

Cyndi, Jeff, and I leave early for Versailles. We take the RER (Réseau Express Régional) train from Paris. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Versailles from Paris.
