Your writing makes the place come to life!
I just want to let you know how much I'm enjoying your blog as we plan our own trip. We will be staying between Glenbeigh and Killorglin along the lake there. Great job with your descriptions, and this comes from an English teacher!!!

Cyn and Dean: Congratulations on such a beautiful and unforgettable trip. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. It must have been years of planning for it to have been so beautifully organized. Kudos for flying Aer Linguas. When I went to Asia, I flew on one of the Asian airlines -- they knew the area the best and also had typical meals and information that was very specific to the Asian areas! Silly things like the stewards/stewardesses -- what they wore and how they conducted the airplane -- as if you started your trip and extended it on the flights! Happy to hear of your safe return. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Paris Adventure
Cyn: We traversed these same places in Paris in 1995 - in January -- in freezing temps! Not nearly as enjoyable, so maybe we'll get back there some day. Your descriptions really create such a vivid "picture" of Paris. Enjoy!!!

out of this world.
You certainly are seeing another part of the world. How fortunate you all are to get all this in. I am tired just reading about the sightseeing you are doing. What a wonderful vacation. Have a safe trip home. See you in Cape Cod.

Wow! Sounds better than anything I have read or taken in French classes in high school and college! Love the names of these ancient places -- having some idea of most. But actually being there must be amazing. I could not get the connection of why Ireland and France. BUt I see it is "Sweeney" and "DesRosiers". Very simple. We traced my mom's side back to Canadian French, where "King" was originally "Roy" and "Roi", but they are still working on connecting to the France. God bless you all for a wonderrful and safe trip!!

Wow! This is wonderful news! You make it sound so real....... Have you and Jackie read Carol Higgins book(s)? What comes to mind is "Laced", her mystery set in Ireland? I think Jackie would especially enjoy it. Have sent it to my nieces who are same age as Jackie. Everything sounds so beautiful! Enjoy it! Blessings to you all......

You certainly are having a wonderful trip. I hope you are taking lots of pictures. I hope you're having better weather than the folks from Dublin had. I also hope they weren't bent on spending most of their time on the beach. If so, they were dissapointed. I imagine they found something they could do indoors. I felt bad for them. We had good weather Sat. and Sun. It was Harry's birthday and all the kids came down for a cookout. It really was a perfect day for that. Well, stay safe, and have more fun. Love Barbara

Loved the photos, Cyn, Paris in particular. What a wonderful and sumptuous place to visit! You look so excited in all the photos. Sort of a surreal feeling there--like being in a movie background, n'est-ce pas? What wonderful pictures!
