Dean, Cyndi, and Jeff near Bassin et Parterre de Latone
The fountains (Grandes Eaux) are turned on for only short periods of time during the weekends in April- Oct. This fountain depicts Ovid's Metamorphoses in which Latone (standing on the top of the fountain with her children Apollo and Diane) asks Jupiter to punish the peasants of Lycia. Jupiter changes the peasants into amphibians. (turtles, lizards, and frogs).
