Cairns 19and20/10

Yesterday we had a lazy day exploring more of cairns area and were happy to finally find a cheap supermarket (woolworths).

Today we went walking around pandanus swamp forest/lowland paper bark forest/tropical palm forest/flecker botanical gardens/fitzaland gardens and the centenery lakes (one freshwater and one saltwater lake). These were all very pretty and we managed not to get eaten by anything dangerous. Although dave was laughing at me because I got very scared when an ant was on my shoulder and I thought it was a poisonous spider.

Spent the rest of the day in the bar playing free pool and darts and then we relaxed on the balcony.

Australia is a very different expereience to Japan with less sightseeing and more relaxing but still very cool to see.
