Bonham Texas is a small town in the northern part of the state. Not a whole lot in or around the town. Biggest employer is the Veteran Administration Medical Center which serves veterans in Oklahoma and Texas. The Sam Rayburn Library and Museum is about a quarter mile from the downtown square on SR 56. Rayburn was Speaker of the House of Representatives. The library is normally open Mon-Fri 9-5. Also in the area, about 2 miles west of town on SR 56 is the Sam Rayburn House Museum. Open Tues-Sat for a shorten number of hours. Check with the facility.
