I'm so sad we have to leave the Bed and Breakfast this morning. It was foggy this morning when we got up, but I'm sure it will clear off before too long.
We head down for breakfast. Again, fantastic. Today we had: egg bake, rhubarb bread, coffee cake, fresh fruit, coffee, juice. Helen is so nice and you feel so welcome. The couple from WA will be leaving today. The couple from WY will be meeting up with some more friends and spend a little more time.
On our agenda today is Sturgis. By the time we head out the fog has cleared up. We take the frontage road pretty much all the way to Spearfish. We jump on the Interstate there and pull into Wal-mart. Steve had stopped and ordered DVD's of his Beartooth videos. Now on to Sturgis. I am so nervous, they tell me we won't be in alot of traffic. It's not too bad. I made it fine.
Now it is time for Connie and I to check into the Nursing Home turned Campground. We pull up and Del's tent is pretty much upside down. Things are a little damp but not bad. We
unload the bikes. Del shows me around so I can find the bathrooms and showers. Where the coffee is and where they have breakfast. Once we have the tents put all back upright and stuff put away we head downtown. I rode with Del on my bike (the first time on the back of my bike) and Connie rode with Steve. We walked around checking out alot of the shops. Both clothes and bike parts.
We decide to stop in the Road Kill Cafe for a cold drink and we ordered Nachos. Oh and to use an indoor bathroom. The place was pretty small, I've never been in there. Now on our way again. This is the most fun, just walking around taking pictures and watching people.
We stop in and have a beer, decide to head back to the campground. Drop our stuff off and then back downtown for supper. When we get back here they have bar-b-cues, salads and chips at the Nursing Home. But, Connie and I want a good meal. So we head back and go to One Eyed Jacks. Pretty good, pretty expensive. Fun people watching.
After supper we walk and end
up at the Dungeon Bar. Kind of a scary (dark) place. Had a beer. We ran into "Noodle" a guy Del and Steve work with. They are staying at the Nursing Home too. On the other side of the building. We headed back to the bikes and back to camp. I am so excited to sleep in a tent. We even have blow up air mattresses. The night was long. I wasn't comfortable, a pickup was tearing up the streets, a dog barking, and don't forget the bikes coming and going. Needless to say I did not get much sleep.
