Today is the big day in Hulett. PANTYLESS WEDNESDAY. And also a big day in Sundance. BURNOUT CONTEST AND WET T-SHIRT CONTEST.
Let me tell you this bed and breakfast thing is the way to go. Check out the Sunrise outside our cabin. We headed to the main house about 7:45. Breakfast was: breakfast burittos, fresh fruit, coffee, juice. Awsome. What will it be tomorrow? The other two couples were really nice. One couple was from Puget Sound WA and the other from WY.
We decide to get an early start for Hulett as it is usually pretty busy. There are quite a few bikes traveling on the hwy. I'm glad I'm a passenger. We pull into Hulett, the main street is already full, we park on the street just before you head out of town. Tons of people. We do a little shopping and then go to the park to wait for Sue and her friend. We are suppose to meet them there if all works out. It's fun to just hang around this park and people watch. I finally get a text from Sue they are running late, but in Bowman. We decide not much is going
on here so we are going to head to Aladdin. I text Sue and let her know. On our way out of town we grab a bite to eat. I'm not sure what it was called. I had bar-b-cued chicken w/grilled vegetables in a wrap. I thought it was good, but nobody else did. Plus they were pretty expensive.
We head out to Aladdin and it is how we remembered it. Busy. We have a beer, Connie and I wander around the bar. I tried to text Sue that we were heading to Sundance. I'm not sure it worked. No signal available. We are off to Sundance for the Burnout Contest.
Sundance is getting pretty busy. Quite a few people waiting for the burnouts. The contest starts with, I think, only 5 bikes. Del is wanting to enter, his tire is bad anyway. So just go ahead and do it. He did a great job. One person told him she timed it, it took him 43 seconds to blow his tire. The last contestant was a female. Of course she lifted her top and won the contest. Del did tie for 3rd, but then lost out when we
had to cheer again. He had fun though. Boy, did we get dirty. Check out the pictures. That was so hard to wash off.
I totally missed the Wet T-Shirt contest. I guess I didn't miss much. I was in the bathroom trying to wash the rubber off my body. Del took his bike to the shop to get a new tire. Connie and I took him in the Ladies Room at the Turf and helped him wash up. We had a few more beers, went to supper at the Aro again and got home before another storm hit.
I went right up to the cabin and showered. It felt so good to clean up, put on my jammies and relax. They had the movie "Seabiscuit" in the cabin so I popped that in and watched a little bit. Del stayed down at the house and visited for a bit and then came up.
