Today we are heading to Sundance WY. The AmericInn has a great continental breakfast so we go down to that. We pull into the gas station right by the hotel to fill up and then we will be on our way. My gosh there are alot of bikes. The day is sunny, beautiful weather.
We take Hwy 24 west to Aladdin, turn on Hwy 111 south to the frontage road that heads into Sundance. We have reservations at the Sundance Mountain Hideaway Bed and Breakfast. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast, I'm so excited. Opps, I didnt bring the directions to get there. We turned at the right stop sign and then went too far on the hwy. We had to call, turn around but then found our way. The road up to it was gravel but not too bad. But then when we got there I had to go up a little hill (more like an incline) to our cabin. I was really glad to stop and put my feet on the ground (and not tip). OH MY GOSH, this place is awesome. The owner was gone, but left the key for us. We got the little
cabin on the hill, Steve and Connie will stay in the room in the house.
After we unload the bikes we decide to just ride into town and hang out. The bikes are parked and we decide to bar hop. Our first stop is The Turf Bar. They have picnic tables outside so we just hang out, have a few beers and visit. Del and Steve decided they need to wash their bikes. They head to the car wash, Connie and I hold down the picnic tables.
When they get back we walk over to the Longhorn Bar. They don't have Fireball for Steve but they do have some kind of Polish Whiskey, he thought it was great. He even bought a bottle. While there I get friendly and visit with some guys from Oklahoma. The one guy was really hard to understand, I thought.
From the Longhorn we wander to the Dime-A-Time, really the Dime HorseShoe Bar. Oh, here come our Oklahoma buddies. And here we find out that Connie is famous, her picture is on the wall! We had so much fun just hanging around town.
It has been a really long time since
breakfast so we go to Aro Restraunt. Our waitress was great. The food was good too. What I can remember.
Well, it is back to the Bed and Breakfast. It is beginning to rain and they say a storm is coming in. When we get back we go in and visit with Jay & Helen. Their house is so cool inside. A perfect home for the mountain. I guess Jay hunts alot. All kinds of animal mounts. As we sit there the rain really hits, I'm glad we got back when we did.
It is time for me to hit the pillow, so we call it a night. Tomorrow will be a long day.
