I know!! Gross!!! I was running Micheal's Pit, Mihoshi, and she got distracted by another dog, turned quick, and I totally tripped over her body. It was raining, so...yeah. Luckily, my chin was there to cushion my fall. Normal people use their hands to catch themselves. Apparently, I use my face. I really did eat the pavement. Delicious, let me tell you. BRUTAL!!!! Hahaha I'm such a wimp...but the picture looks cool! I got a ride from a Portland State University Education major, we hit the road at 1:00pm yesterday and now here I am, in Eugene, hippie capital of Oregon. Wawaweewa. I am staying with a really cool family, I will write more later when I'm not running out of library internet use time. I really love Oregon.... read more

So I flew into Portland on Tuesday and spent most of Wednsday there too. It's an awsome city. Probablly the coolest city I've ever been too. It was very compact and busy like New York, but it was very laid back and natural at the same time. oregon is really beautiful I'm in Eugene now which is in the Willamette River valley, which reminds me of the Hill Country, except with douglas fir trees. There are a lot of oak trees, sweet gums and rhododendrons here and I didn't expect that. Eugene isn't what I was expecting, and initially I was pretty disappointed, but it is starting to grow on me, and I really love the school here. Well we've been up to quite a bit since the last installment, unfortunately it's all been drink related! When we finally did stop to go on a trip to watch Killer Whales they went and bl**dy cancelled it the morning of the trip so we did the only thing left open to us - go on the pi**!! It was my birthday after all, met some strange mustachioed guy when we went to the 1st Canadian flugtag before meeting up with Emily again who kindly let us stay, she was an absolute honey. (Word up to Rob, Bailey & Scott - thanks for a great night folks) Only 33 now, not so bad compared to Watty.
