My visiting family from Ohio stayed in a cottage in Henderson NY. While it was located right on the water, there really was not all that much to do there. We played games one rainy afternoon, and held cookouts on the deck. One of my cousins floated around on an inner tube, but that was the extent of our lake enjoyment. The shore was rocky and not very conducive for water fun. When we needed further entertainment, we simply went to nearby Sacketts Harbour. I love Sacketts. It's a quaint little village situated right on Lake Ontario, with plenty of good restaurants, an awesome coffee shop, some gift shops and antique stores. This is another town that absolutely comes to life in the summer, but it feels more local and less touristy than Alex Bay. I've
