Geo: 44.1844, -69.0767Day 3 – Jagged Edges Boothbay Harbor to Rockport, ME Maine is a state of jagged edges. With the exception of a few sandy beaches, where the coast is smooth if not straight, and the border with New Hampshire, drawn by forefathers, the state's borders, especially its shores, are jagged and rugged. Rocks abound. And nowhere do you realize it more than out on the water.We had breakfast on the water at our motel, Brown's Wharf Inn in Boothbay. Our waitress was a chatty soul with lots of information about Maine. She told us that summer tourism is heavy, of course. But autumn (leaf peeping) takes the cake. Photos from our Harbor View House - 7 Harbor View, Rockport, ME Our house was a very, very, very fine house. No cats in the yard, but great views of Rockport Harbor. You can walk out the backdoor into the ocean. From the computer room where we all processed our photos to the magnificent ocean-filled backyard where we captured more, from the spacious common areas where we gathered to laugh to the luscious dining area where we savored our lobsters, this was the perfect spot to headquarter our fun. Again we must thank Yvonne for such a magnificent choice. Photo 4 is a reflection of our dining room table showing the view out the window.
