It is an enormously beautiful cathedral. It may have been the longest mass we've been too. Paul looked at Elizabeth and said, " We may have to skip Denver because this mass is so long." It was nice though. I like taking them to different churches so they are comfortable someday going wherever they are if they want to go ... read more

August 28, 2013 - Wednesday A lazy day today, just needing to run into the town of Hays to do some laundry. Now this trip would be perfect, if we didn’t have to do laundry. Hahaha! The drought in Kansas is horrific, we’re told they’ve been experiencing it here in this part of Kansas since 1997. The reservoir here at the campground is totally dry, with large trees growing in it and the lake is way, way down. Hopefully they will get some relief soon. Marge is battling some Altitude Sickness from going up into the Rockies(over 12, 000’) and has a bad headache, nausea, and is feeling very tired and sleepy. We’re told it takes 48-72 hours to get over it, and today we’re up at about 48 hrs. but no let up as yet. ... read more

We are happy to report that we are now headed to Carver, Mass and have allowed ourselves 10days to get there. We are in Hays, Kansas and loving the new scenery ( green not brown ). Bison and cattle, lot;s of bunnies and birds. We are missing the extreme weather but have been having cold nights and days in the 6o's and 70's. Will try one time to attach some more recent photos.
