Recent winter storms have dumped a goodly quantity of early snow to jump start the ski season. What better place than Sun Valley, Idaho to begin the ski season. The entire mountain wasn't open but there was enough skiing to thrash ourselves on the first day. Beth was on her first serious pair of boards and it was a perfect day for her to cautiously get a feel for them. They are a whole lotta ski and there was a little bit of soft stuff on top of the groomed. It was a good day for her to let them run a bit and not feel overwhelmed by the skis.
This is also a good point to give out a holler to our "tech support team." :-) Edge Performance is a couple of guys (Seth & Kevin) that have a start up ski tuning business here in Boise, Idaho. There deal is that they will do free pick-up & delivery of your ski equipment. How groovy is that? Seth is an ex-college racer and understood what kind of tuning job we needed for our Fischer skis. Race skis are like race cars. They need to be kept tuned to run at optimal performance. After skiing this weekend we can that they will be our tech guys. I especially love the pick-up and delivery deal. Having to make a trip clear across town to a ski shop is like every other chore in my life - in pain in my keester!
We were both very pleased with the job that they did on our boards. If you take a ski vacation to Idaho and do a stopover in Boise, give them a jingle at 208 871 6076 or 208 830 5028. They will take care of your boards.
The day wasn't exactly a bluebird day so I only shot a couple of photos. I hope you like the photos. My old camera quit working. Fortunately my rewards points were sufficient to replace it with a newer model; it is half the size of the previous one. Amazing.
We are headed to Spain this coming March and of course will be taking photos and posting my obligatory comments!
