Oscar & Austin
I actually have two very fat rabbits in the freezer just crying out to be eaten. How about a preparation similar to the Morroccan Chicken dish that you do? It also sounds like your wine collection is getting a bit overcrowded and needs some space created. I am just the person to help you do that :-)

Name of Coyne
Israel, Rosemary and I visited the site of Knock during our trip to Ireland. I noticed under the caption of the couple that you mentioned that Beth's grandmother's last name was Coyne. I don't know if Beth knew that her grandfather's middle name was Coyne: Francis Coyne Hart.

Big Sister to Tom - always!
Hey Man; I read Tom's sharing as his having Kissed the Blarney Stone - "curing" - or at least improving his mumblings and faultering communications - traits shared by most of us Harts..... not causing his..... gotta defend the bro'! (actually the BROS...most of the time....hee, hee) AND, WE ARE really appreciating your efforts to share with us.... bringing many, many memories re my time in Ireland too..... One day, I want to share a story written by Anne when she first visited Ireland.... and later purchased a home in the NW region; don't know if she still has it..... Peace w/Love, MA

Dysert O'Dea
Ummmm...so the mumbling and faltering speech comes from kissing the Blarney Stone? Are you sure? We were waited on by a guy in an Ennis bistro that Beth thought to be a relative. She said "He looks just like my relatives and mumbles just like them." Hee hee hee hee

Your Ireland Trip
Israel, Have been scanning your blog posting of your trip to Ireland (sorry, don't have time to study in depth). Am reminded of Rosemary's and my tour of southern Ireland in 1993 via tourist bus. We decided to take that route since we didn't feel up to struggling with luggage, etc. Our sons rode in a rented car with Rosemary's brother, Ed Small. Found out later they had named him "Racecar Driver Ed." Glad we weren't along on that trip. We had many wonderful memories from our visits to the different sites. My mumblings and faultering speech has been definitely helped by my "Kissing the Blarney Stone!" Blessings, Tom

Oh Laddie!
I'm very ecumenical. By the way, I highly recommend the Robin Hood movie. Not because it is necessarily a great movie, but because some of the contemporary themes covered are a repressive and abusive government, taxes and the rights of individuals. I found it highly refreshing! Of course I identify with renegades against The Man.

Oh laddy
Speaking of Ireland's leaders against English oppression, you can't forget Mel Gibson; who was portrayed by William Wallace in the movie "Brave Heart"....oooops I think, I have it backwards:0) As for your hyper concern with Karma, I think we need to take a trip to visit the Pope. Wonder what his thoughts would be concerning putting trust, faith and hope in a little over weight fat man or God.....Mr. Catholicism........(chuckles chuckles). Good to hear you are having a great trip.

My own condiments?
Well we did bring a mini moka to make espresso. Mini bottles of tabasco would have made a difference.

Have you seen colcannon on the menus there? It's basically mashed potatoes with cabbage and bacon baked in. I've done it at home a few times--it's probably bland too, but better than regular mashed potatoes. I do mine with green onions, celery and spinach, but it can also be done with Kale and other bitter greens. Looks like you need to bring your own condiments with you when you eat -- store-bought horseradish and hot sauce, at least! mark
