Vivian was up bright and early along with Nathan and Tory as we started our 3rd morning at the resort. Steve was able to sleep in and then go to the ABC store with Nathan to get swimmers ear medicine while Tory made the kids eggs and sausage for breakfast. Vivian was allowed to put on her own sunscreen on her face as everyone laughed because she looked like and called herself a "ghost." The kids played bumper cars with their small, inflatable tubes on the way down to the lazy river. This continued their awful self-awareness of other guests at the hotel as they constantly cutoff or almost run over other guests while walking and not paying attention. Tory took the kids around the lazy river a few times as we eventually met up at ... read more

It was a very nice morning for everyone to sleep in until 6am and wake up refreshed. This was the morning of the Character Breakfast at the Makimaki restaurant, where we got to meet several characters. Mickey met us on the way in to get a family picture, as he mimicked swinging a baseball bat because Nathan was wearing his baseball shirt. The tube slide was not as scary so Rosie and Vivian were both fine riding on it with their own tube after riding down in a double tube with Steve. Nathan quickly found the tunnel to be exciting, ... read more

Today we decided to have another lazy day, which of course was nothing to do with the beers we'd had last night..... No, we'd booked to go to Paradise Cove for a Luau and show, and as the hotel pick up was 1530, we decided to stay local and hang around the pool. As we'd not managed to visit the Polynesian Cultural centre on the North Shore, we really wanted to go to a Luau whilst we were in Hawaii, and we'd read and heard that this one was a good one, so we booked it for this evening. It was also a nice chance for us to get our glad rags on and get dolled up, (Daryl even wore trousers instead of shorts!) seeing as we'd mainly just been cutting about in casuals etc all ... read more
