On our way to SC yesterday I had called my very favorite female cousin, Pam, to ask her to tell her mom that I would be in Simpsonville today but only for 30 minutes or so. I wouldn't have time to swing by, but wanted her to know I was thinking about her. Sam, Linda, Lawson, Charlie and now Pam and aunt Patsy were all sworn to secrecy as we are going to just pop in to see my mom. Unannounced. Surprise! Lawson, (who, by the way IS a hospice nurse), warned us "Your mom is 88....you're going to give her a heart attack!" I told him "She in an assisted living building - somebody there probably knows CPR."
