Namaste!!! In order to do a little blog practice AND get even more prepared for our upcoming Habitat trip to Nepal, we (Kathy, Rob, Mike, Syd, Kim) took a weekend jaunt to Americus Georgia to see the Habitat for Humanity Global Discovery Center. It began with a Tour de Slums showing impoverished dwellings (i.e rusted tin, mats of floor, pretty much gloom, doom, and filth) followed by 15 lifesize examples of houses built around the world by Habitat for Humanity GLobal Village - Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Ghana to name a few. HFH dwellings are small, but sturdy, clean and homey.
