Not wanting to miss a trick, we jumped in our buggy and headed to Universal Studios. They had just opened their newest, huge hotel: Cabana Bay Beach Resort. They were having an early open house with the media present. Maybe we could get on TV (didn't happen....rats!). The grand opening will be in July (we'll be home then). This hotel, when completed, will have 1800 rooms & suites. They are open for business now but still are building more of the complex. It has a retro 1950's theme. The rooms start at $94/nite. We had a fun time exploring this grandiose "Back-In-Time" Memory Land. Their enormous diner was designed like a 4 screen Drive-In. Showing on the huge screens were all the old commercials from this era.....we remembered each one just like it was yesterday! They have a ten lane bowling alley next to a huge fitness center designed around Jack LaLane....remember him? He was still doing his exercises way into his 90's.....what a guy! They told us, besides this hotel, the have already started building the next one across the road. It will be called The Hollywood and the theme the same. Yikes. We are just thrilled with our Microtel that was built in our little town of Wellsville. All the walking around this monster sized complex made us hungry. How can we ever really be hungry.....it's just a very bad habit now. Decisions, Decisions.....the Noodle Company or Earl of Sandwich. The Earl won out. My tuna melt melted in my mouth. Full or not, I can always find room for that delicacy. Yum! While at Earl's, which is located in the Disney Village, I found the colorful, eye-catching, skinny leggings that I have been yearning for so long. I just know I will look so fashionable in them plus stand out in the crowd. I probably can't wear them as nicely as this gal, though. What do think? Your votes will be tallied next week.
