Unbelievable! Cory just found out he won the huge Power Ball Lottery for $425 million! I'm fainting as I print this! I can hardly breathe. Pass the smelling salts! AND we are going to share some of it with all of you!

APRIL FOOL. It was fun writing it anyway.....maybe someday!!! LOL

I'm a few days late post the birthday boy's big day on March 30th. This hasn't been easy keeping up this pace, let me tell you. "Pant, Pant". What could we do that was special on this special day for this special person? Can you guess? Times Up! GO EAT! What else!! Our devoted friends, Sam & Sandy offered to treat us (even me & it's not my birthday....yet) to breakfast at a restaurant called The Egg Place. Lulu pleaded to come along and promised she wouldn't eat everything on the menu. She can be a real gobble-guts at times. The Egg Place is located over in Haines City. It is right next door to Manny's Chophouse. Both Manny's & the Egg Place are owned & operated by the same family. Egg Place is open for breakfast & lunch....closing at 2:00 PM. Then Manny's opens at 4:00

for dinner. Let me tell you: these restaurants are a gold mine for this family. The crowds wait in long lines to get in to devour the delicious food served. The Egg Place was no exception on our celebratory day but we arrived later in the morning so didn't have to wait in line. The decor is like a 1950's diner....only on a grander scale. Excellent food and service. Now that we had renewed strength and stamina, we headed to the Auburndale Flea Market. Not that this has become our favorite Mecca by any means....it was only to check back on an item Cory had seen the week before. As the saying goes: "if you want it: buy it now"....or something like that. We had found a wooden, portable, tabletop crap table (plus other gambling games included) in a booth. Perfect for Cory to keep up his winning ways on a smaller scale. Our offered price was refused so we left it, thinking we would check back on our way out. We forgot to do that. Thus, after a weeks passing, the item was no longer there....sold just the day before. That's how it goes, you know. So, Cory will have

to just go to the real casinos and play the real thing. Betting his Hard Six! He likes that! Of course, that planted the idea for the next venture. It was Cory's day so where would he like spending it? In a casino, of course! The car flew like a rocket ship to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. No crap tables at this casino but Cory always seems to work those slot machines to his benefit. That's good.....because my norm is to feed the machines full of my money and get nothing in return (except that one time when I did hit the jackpot....'member?). One machine I played had such bright, glowing lights and fancy stuff that I had to wear my sunglasses to play it. Then, I finally found a button where I could dim some of that blinding light. Whew.....it's not always bells & whistles when gambling.....the intense lighting can set off tics if you have any. Sam & Sandy played for awhile and then waited patiently for us while we got our fix. Cory took Sam and off the two of them went to strike it rich. Successful as usual, our next delight was with our

"found" money. We had told Sam & Sandy about the huge, scrumptious pot pie served at one of the casino restaurants. What better way to celebrate this special day than to eat again! No disappointment here. We each had a mega size, fluffy pastry topped pot pie filled with mega amounts of chicken and veggies. Enough to feed half of Kissimmee. I think I was as round as the roulette wheel as we rolled out of this fantasyland. Sluggish and exhausted, we made it home and collapsed. Happy Birthday, Fast Eddie! I hope your new decade is a fabulous one....just like you!
