Too much fun!Too much fun!Too much fun!

This photo says it all!
Ann here -- so far so good on keeping up with the blog... for now... gotta love wireless networks...

You all will be happy to know that the kids made it home shortly after midnight this morning. Needless to say, we all slept in this morning... except for Katt... she gets up early... doesn't want to miss a thing!

As my mom called it, we had a leisure day around here... Katt and I ran errands with Mary... neat pastry shop, small hardware store, and (of course) a little clothing shop... David went on a tour of Best Buy with Steve and Brie... Rich and Phil held down the fort (aka, shopped for groceries). Mom also called this right... we all went to Mass at 4:15pm... not many people in church at that hour... very nice service though... I kinda felt like I was at the little movie theater up in Angels camp... there's a guy that sells you the ticket at the front window... then he runs to the door to let you in and tear your ticket... then he runs in and serves you your popcorn... that's how it was with Phil... up at the podium

Comfortable accomodations to say the least!
to introduce the celebrant, music, etc... ran down the side aisle to meet the priest at the back of the church... walked up the center aisle with the priest... read all of the readings... collected the money... cleaned up at the end of Mass. It was a treat to join Phil, Mary, Steve, and Brie on their weekend routine!

BBQ chicken, salad, and margaritas on the back deck... must plan better next weekend... alcohol isn't sold on Sundays in Connecticut!

The kids left here around 9pm headed for the local bowling alley.... evidently it's an honor to be invited bowling, as it is a sacred event with Steve and his friends. At dinner I let Steve know that his Grandfather once bowled a 300 game and they mis-spelled his name in the paper... he now understands he has the blood in him for "bowling greatness"... he left here with a new sense of purpose.

Grandma's room
Ah yes, I recognize the room at the near end over the garage. It's "Grandma's room", you know. Phil just told me over the phone that the new shower doors were put in on Fri. for the newly remodled bathroom--so you guys are first class all the way. You got a great shot of the house--probably better than any I have taken--don't laugh. Not a bad way to spend the day. Gosh, when Phil isn't there to lector, they really must miss him, that's summer for you. Wonder when he has time to meditate on the readings ;). I'm sure the young ones will have fun bowling--I've met the two friends Steve goes with. Have fun tomorrow!! I heard the schedule from Phil. Love to all xoxoxo

Your having way too much fun
Gosh is Phil like GiGi? There before the priest. Does he have his own key? Glad you are taking advantage of all the hospitality and getting to have some fun. Sounds like your taking it all in. Nice shot of the family around the patio. Hi to everyone.

Fun, fun!
What a beautiful pic of Phil and Mary's home, you are certainly travelin' in style! Nice to get the chance to go to NYC, but even better with great hosts to boot! We are jealous, but really enjoying the vacation via the blog! xoxo

Glad it's a laid back Sunday
It sounds like you need a laid back Sunday, but going to mass @ 4 am seems kind of like GiGi's habits. Glad you are all having a good time and that you are seeing the best stuff in a short time. Have some Starbucks for Papa.
