Ten years ago at Phil and Mary's we had rain in July--very depressing to this CA native. Glad you are having such a good time.

(It was slightly humid here today and overcast--but it was a much cooler day-- thunder showers in the high Sierras.) You got some great pics. The "you had to be there to believe it" kind. Great Pics Hi, meant to warn you about the tolls out of NY, we thought we would run out of cash :), but it's neat to go thru so many states in a short time. I love that about back east. I am sure you will run out of time in D.C. but the kids will love it. That is a whole other trip for us. We miss you and are jealous you are having so much fun. Enjoy! Are you writing about the places and things that you have seen other than here? That is nice to look back on and refer to when your mind goes blank...........which mine does quite often. Ha Ha

Been there Done That Dave lost his between southern WA and northern OR, if he already told you skip mine. All you want is your sims card anyway, his was beat up from dropping it so many times, the seat belt would flip it off his belt and I am sure it fell on the ground beneath the truck and we did not see it, I didn't get out while we were filling up. Hope you find it, just an inconvenience and glad it was nothing worse than that. Sounds like you had a great visit before your D.C. break. Hi to Anne and her parents.

Anything's possible We made margaritas last weekend... didn't want to repeat ourselves. The weather has been amazing! Only rain the evening of the 4th and a bit on the 5th. Other than that, very mild weather. It's supposed to be warming next week in DC... with 100% humity. xoxoxo, Ann
Very cool! Katherine just checked the Playbill... she remembered Katie... she played the Wicked witches mom... she's in a scene in the beginning and near the end. Bummer you all weren't able to see it. It was a once in a lifetime thing for the kids... front row seats. They said it was an awesome show!
No Margarita's at this B&B? They don't make Margarita's there, do they? Wicked How exciting, you were able to get tickets for Wicked. I don't know if you remember my girlfriend who's sister was on American Idol, Katie Webber; she is in Wicked. I'm sure she was there that evening! We were there as an office last February and couldn't get tickets to see the show. Katie was not even able to get tickets for us, but we had a group of nine! I heard it was a great show. You lucky bums!
Ledge rock P.S. Tell your viewers that the whole 1 acre is covered with ledge rock, deeply imbeded, too. Makes a nice natural setting, and there is very little redesigning the landscape. Nice.

Friday night pizza Ahhhh, I thought of you last evening and just figured you all might be out for pizza------that's been their tradition for years!! I doubt that Phil and Mary have ever actully gone to Ground Zero--pretty traumatic for them, each in a different way. Sounds like you had another interesting day!! If Dan and Lorraine come over this evening give them my best regards--Dan will probably bring his guitar and you will have a song fest around the kitchen table--- some more fun :)!! The Met Hi all, wow I envy you, Grandpa and I spent about an hour in the Met (we were pressed for time), but we loved it. Felt it was a must see when we were there. We did 4 days and only a few hours to see things. I saw more as I had 4 days on my own. We loved it. Great city.

Inspired by our friend Tina (aka, ), we decided to create this travel blog to post photos / adventures from our upcoming trip to NY / DC. This will be our first cross country family trip. Should have some fun stories to report. Hard to believe, but Katherine graduated from high school this past May. We figured we should get a nice family trip in before she heads to UC Santa Cruz in the fall.
We'll be spending 11 days with my oldest brother (Phil) and his wife (Mary) in Stamford, CT. They have graciously opened their home to us. They're great hosts/hostess', so I know we... full info
