What an arse of a day! Well in the grand scheme of things worse has happened at sea but.. Started the day at 8am with a 7 hour drive from LA to San Fran...ok ok not too bad. Get to Hostel to find out that Hostel has recieved booking but due to clerical error Mr Bage and Mr Callow have no beds for the evening! They did book us into thier "sister hostel" in downtown..which is actually quite nice but we may have to move tommorow..who knows? (here? there? anywhere?) We don't!

So from the hostel we move to take the car back to Budget..who in thier wisdom decide that we have had the car for 3 hours longer than "agreed" and want $100 extra....well they were not having that and I made that quite clear. We are going back tommorow for a "discussion" with the boss!

Apart from that quite a good day. Went out and had a couple of beers and played some pool. Tom did not cane my backside quite as badly as last time and we called it a night around 10pm so that things did not develop into a full blown drinking session like in Venice Beach which was just silly really.

Enough of the negativity. It is good to be back in San Fran now, we have a few things planned to do this week. We plan to visit Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge (although both Tom and I argee that the Bay Bridge is better) and also to take a bike ride around San Fran..which should be interesting. This is the hilliest..mountain-est..city I have ever been in. Wait until we post the pictures! It is Mad! They have built the city of the side of a mountain basically. We have realised that we only have two weeks left here in the US and A before we touch down on home soil. Will be good to see you all again and have a bloody good cup of tea. Guys and Girls at work make sure that you have the kettle brewing for when I get in at 10am on the 30th June. :x

hi son (tim)
Ho son good to hear you are still having good time and behaving yourself. Will be good to have you home shortly. Things happening here with shell petrol tanker drivers on strike so people panic buying. Weather is beautiful at present time. All family members are fine and dandy. Love you loads.
