San Diego
Our San Diego beach party We woke up early today and ready for a day in San Diego. First we headed down to the famous San Diego SeaWorld but after hanging around not really sure what to do we ended up deciding against it. Most of the shows we wanted to see weren’t till much later on and a few of the attractions were closed, that and the fact it was incredibly expensive entrance price. Instead we drove into San Diego and found a spot big enough to park the van. We headed down the road to find somewhere for breakfast, some of the girls gave up and went to Starbucks but as soon as they did we decided on the restaurant across the road.
Breakfast was good, it was a Mexican themed restaurant and seemed mainly to do Mexican food but the breakfast was still quite good. Afterwards we spent some time walking around the outdoor shopping mall looking for any last minute gifts for people back home. We found an internet café and spent most of the time checking emails and facebook. As we were leaving we bumped into Dave who was wondering around on his own. We did a little more shopping

Looking towards the pier at San Diego Beach then headed back to the van to meet the rest of the group. Jon drove us back to the campsite to get ready for the beach party down in San Diego. During this time we drew all over the van with whiteboard markers, this included each of us pulling a name out of a hat and having to draw that person on the van, it was hilarious. I wrote our entire itinerary on the back of the van which was quite impressive.
We headed down to the beach and laid out our beach towels with the other trek group. We threw out the food from the eskies and filled them with beer and ice. Tyson actually brought a petrol powered blender to make Margareta for everyone. For the rest of the afternoon we sat around drinking and playing soccer. Some people went into the water but it wasn’t really hot enough for me. We were there until it got dark and that’s when one by one, Dave and a few other guys from the other trek group threw people in. It was quite funny, seeing who was going in next. Eventually it was Eleanor’s (She was in the other

We burried Min in the sand trek group) turn and she screamed and screamed, she was absolutely furious and wouldn’t stop crying blaming them for running her entire trip.
We eventually packed up all the towels and eskies then walked down to a fish’n’chip restaurant for dinner. Almost everyone was in a bad mood that night and dinner was very awkward. Some people, mainly from the other group, were totally smashed from drinking on the beach but otherwise everyone else was just grumpy and wet. After an average dinner a few of us headed back, it was bad enough at dinner we didn’t want to put up with more complaining. When Hannah and I returned to the campsite, she helped a girl from the other group who could barely walk to bed. Then eventually joined me in Dave and I’s tent (Hers still smelt like pickle). It wasn’t long before everyone returned to the campsite, we all went straight to sleep.
