Geo: 37.4785, -119.64It was our first trip as a new family which meant it was also our first trip with an infant. An entirely different way to travel. My husband, who just loves to gun it from point A to point B, was now forced to stopped every hour and a half to feed, change a diaper and play with Arya. He was taking it well, though. Arya, while protesting occasionally, actually did quite well, too. Normally the drive would have taken us a few hours- this took probably an hour and a half longer. So it goes. After leaving the bright neon lights of Las Vegas, and the breathtaking Grand Canyon we really didn't think anything could top that on our trip, that was until we arrived just shy of Yosemite in a little picturesque town of Fish Camp, population 200. From sweltering 35 degree days in Los Angeles an Vegas, we arrived to minus 2 degrees and SNOW. It was just beautiful, indescribable, something our pictures just don't capture the true impact of. This morning we woke up to snow capped Sequoias, and our wooden deck all covered in several inches of snow.....with squirrel footprints everywhere. Our hosts at the B & B (Grant and Beth) are just truly wonderful, their home is sublime........we feel very privileged to be a guest and spoiled the way we have been.
