Mi rutina en Hawaii y la de aqui es parecida. Centro atencion en mi escuela. Noto los sonidos y la carencia del comodidad el mejor. En Maui donde vivo, no hay mucho ruidos. Quisas el ultimo sonido es la musica de la luau de los hotels cerca de la playa. Donde vivo no es ruido- ni los gallos, ni los trafficos. En Oaxaca el primer noche no me acuesto hasta tres o cuatro de la manana porque los perros estan ladrando todo el noche. La ruido de el traffic iba fuerte tambien. Un coche conduciria para mi casa con la musica mas fuerte. La casa detras de mi parece compartir una pared y a veces oigo la telenovella de mis vecinos. Antes de acostarme oigo el abuello de la casa. Off to Oaxaca. Nervous and excited simultaneously. Overpacked. Totally excited about being immersed in another culture, another language, another way of expecting life to be while at the same time trying to bring everything I'm used to with me: my blowdryer, jeans, makeup, candy (skittles). I've even considered packing my blanket because it's the perfet blanket. I catch myself just in time. How can I be so excited to go somewhere different while not wanting to be without what I'm used to wanting and having? Habits. Conditioning. Part of me wants to get beyond my comfortable habits and really dive in to life and another part justs really wants to be really comfortable. It´s really nice being in Oaxaca city since it has fast internet! Cheap too! This was a good update for the blog. We visted Monte Albon this morning, it worked out pretty well because we had thought it was an all day thing and were a bit worried when we slept in and realized we were all really hungover. Jord looked in the mirror and realized in the heat of the party I had coaxed him into shaving his beard into this weird goatee thing! Yes! Victory! I remember waking up this morning to Jord attempting to fight the mutant moth that was so far beyond anything we´ve ever seen we´re pretty sure it was actually an albatross in the bathroom.
