Went to Windsor, Ontario, with Gary and Moe. We had an awesome time. I saw a chinchilla for the 1st time in my life. SO so cute. Also ate fiddel faddle (fiddle heads). Ferns that taste like spinach. Met a lot of Gary's family and his aunt's cute dog, Benwell (see pic). Windsor had great pizza too. We had a fun dvd night in our holiday inn hotel room. ... read more

Windsor's claim to fame other then being the southern most city in Canada and an entry point to the US is that it houses the 'Big 3' car manufacturer's - GM, Ford and Chrysler. This is special as it is the only forest of this type left in Canada, it is really nice with picnic areas, walking ... read more

As soon as we got in to Windsor, we made the quick jump from cool Vancouver weather (@14 degrees C) to (drum roll please) typical Windsor summer heat and humidity at about 30 degrees. After being outside for two minutes, Sarah was drenched with sweat and NEEDED to jump in the pool, where she stayed for one full day. We attended Nick's sister Julia's graduation (Bachelor of Commerce) at the University on Sunday and had a big family BBQ later that day - it was nice to see everyone! On Monday we decided to become tourists and visited Jackson Park to see the WWII Lancaster bomber that was grounded from its pedestal and being restored. We then hit the riverfront for a little walk in the afternoon. Hoping for a big storm Southern Ontario style! N&S ... read more
