Bonjour Aujourd'hui, je commence mon blog de voyage. Je suis excité mais nerveux également. J'ai vérifié au moins une vingtaine d'adresse blog, analysé les pours et les contres de chaque site pour éventuellement choisir ce site qui s'intitule "TravelBlog". Le site semble simple mais je suis encore en train d'apprendre. Mes habiletés informatiques font défaut et je peux me perdre facilement, alors soyez patient avec moi. Comme premier thème, j'ai pensé pour parler de comment moi et Louise avons organisé notre itinéraire de voyage. Je réalise que plus je voyage, plus mes itinéraires sont planifiés. Je me souviens que lors de mon premier grand voyage en Europe quand j'avais 19 ans, il n'y avait tout simplement aucune planification. We hated to leave our great motel in Bathurst, best room we've had the entire trip and nicest owner ever. As we drove around the pretty Acadian peninsula, we learned a lot of the Acadian history from the friendly locals that were happy to visit with us. I won't make you learn it too, but I will just say that the British sure treated the French Acadian people terribly in the 1700's and they were strong and survived. In this area of New Brunswick, the Acadian people are extremely proud of their heritage and almost every home flies the special Acadian flag and the homes are often decorated with other Acadian ornaments, banners, and colors. Well my lobster feast was finally realized in the lobster capital of the world and we cooked it ourselves a pound of shelled lobster - claw and knuckle meat- for 18.95 and it was wonderful. But, I am getting ahead of myself. After leaving Caroquet we travelled south through Miramishi arriving at Shediac, which is close to Moncton. Shediac is home to the largest lobster in the world. Unfortunately it is a tourist trap for the most part and they wanted money to go on the beach or the warf and since we have been on both didn't see the need to pay for it.
