The dang thing lol Mc Bride is not on the list so I had to use Blue River, it a couple of hrs away but if I don't use something it won't publish lol so..... We left Edmonton, and headed to BC. The drive was kinda boring, until we saw some mts in the distance lol we both sat up and got all excited lol we be home soon!!! I took a lot of pics lol On our way through Banff National Park. We saw a elk, lol there must have been four-five cars parked, everybody taking pics LOL He just kept on munching away lol not even paying attention to us. Day 120 (Tuesday 18/08/09, NJJ) Saw Pyramid Lake and Patricia Lake. Drove for a few hours, stopped at Valemont but nothing of interest there so on to Blue River. Got to River Safari around 12.45pm. Did the 'safari'. Saw a bald eagle, ospreys but no bears as advertised. Had a short walk at Parberry Falls - ok. Checked into Blue River Campground. On to Eleanor Lake to relax lakeside in the sunshine, it was very hot and sunny. We left there at 4.30pm at which point it was 33º. Tent up at the campsite. Relaxed. Cooked pasta for dinner. Monashee New Year 08 Happy New Years Everyone, Every wonder what kind of unique experience you can bring the new year in with? Well I think I found one that will be pretty hard to beat in my books. Assemble 14 friends that all share a common interest in the deep fluffy white stuff. Find a cool little winter cabin at 6500’ in the Monashee Mountain Range, interior BC that can accommodate us all. Add copious amounts of that sweet dry champagne powder that the interior is famous for, and what you get is one unforgettable week. Today our goal was to find a helicopter and take a tour of the Rockies in it. We had a brochure and a phone number. But they weren’t answering - or were incredibly busy. So we drove. Valemount is back in British Columbia and the base of Mount Robson Helitours. It took us a while to find their operation, but it was in the obvious place right where there are two large helicopter company signs (neither which say Mount Robson Helitours). So we went in and the place was shut up tight with a few cars around and no-one in sight.
