I am finally finishing of the blog LOL it took a couple of months LOL It's almost the full moon again, 2 months later. I was sad that it's over but all good things must come to an end. Oh my! The trip from Winnipeg to Thompson, Manitoba seemed the longest. We left Winnipeg after 1 PM lol Nat had one visit left to do. The trip just seemed endless lol and as usual we got to Thompson late, around 10 PM. We ended having to go to The Mystery Lake Hotel. There were no rooms at the motel next to Nat's mom's and no disability units. There's stairs!! lol Nat had a great visit with her family. We went to a mall for brekky. The day we left Thompson was a nice one, it had rained. One of the first rains we got on this trip. The hotel we stayed at was run by a First Nations group. They are Cree. It was awesome. We took a different route and totally bypassed The Pas because it was a short trip lol for us. It was hrs to The Pas. So we went on to Prince Albert, Sask. We had a great visit with Eugene & Claudia, lots n lots of laughter. Saskatoon was not one of our stops but a friend I had met in Haines Junction, YT lives there. I had not seen Marla in 15 years. We could stop here because we had bypassed The Pas, and Marla had one more of my photo albums. This would be the only time I could stop to see Marla lol don't know when I will get this kind of opportunity again. We left Marla's and headed to Edmonton. As usual it was dark out lol We got to Edmonton around 9:3-0-10 PM lol and then we looked for a motel lol We found one on the west side. The dang thing lol Mc Bride is not on the list so I had to use Blue River, it a couple of hrs away but if I don't use something it won't publish lol so..... We left Edmonton, and headed to BC. This trip from Mc Bride to Ft. St. James was short lol We left after we dropped my grandson off at school at 8:30 or so. We gassed up and left. lol The only services is in PG. The trip was uneventful and quick. We talked about how the trip has gone so fast lol we have traveled a long ways and saw some interesting things. Aww I got to spend another night at Al & my grandson's place. :) We had a good visit, we went to town for dinner and had another late night, we took my grandson to school and had brekky on the way. My grandson had an activity that day, 50 boys were going to their golf course to play 9 holes. lol but my grandson had to go to school first then go home again lol seeing as they were going to play golf at their course lol It was so nice to be with him. We got to Winnipeg late LOL As usual. We drove around looking for a motel, as usual lol. We ended up finding The Capri. We had to pay $ 50 deposit because it's a weekly, monthly place and we were only staying 2 days. Nat had a wonderful time visiting family. I found a resturant that served a buffet for lunch, Aalto, it had excellent salads and fruit. So I had soup and salad, with lots of fruit. After our visit with Nat's foster family, we had to back track to Parry Sound, then head towards Owen Sound. I was going to meet my sister-in-law. Karen, she is Gord's ( my ex in Whitehorse,YT) sister. Gord and I were together for 14 yrs, and have been seperated for 15 yrs and I have never met Karen. I was a lil nervous but more tickled lol I have heard stories about Karen from Gord, The late Brothers Gar and John. She lives close to Owen Sound.
