Well well well hasn’t this been a long time? The blog is back for just a one off to kind of catch up where I’m up to now that I’m nearly 9 months, but if I got a bunch of likes on Facebook then WHO KNOWS. I’m kind of a whore with Facebook likes so if I get a lot then the blog may make a return somehow… But this blog is just a brief thing I put together as I just wanna catch up to where I am now and talk about the exciting things in Aqaba happening now! Basically I haven’t written a Blog for over 5 months now because I’ve just been so damn busy! Plus I’m a bit lazy. But I think I left off when me and my dad were going ... read more

We set sail from Salalah and it was time for the dreaded six days at sea. We had to head down through the Gulf of Aden between Somalia and Yemen and then into the Red Sea. I’m sure I don’t need to mention the pirates in the area that could have potentially made it the most exciting part of the trip. We saw none, however. But the Aegean Odyssey was prepared nonetheless. Coils of razor wire were strategically placed around the ship where boarders could potentially target. Also on board were a small number of security personnel who looked like they were ex-military. We did not see them about much, but we were assured they were there. We also found out they were armed when on Saturday morning it was announced that we would be rendezvousing ... read more

Ketchup Blog Part I Yeah so the blog... I feel bad that I haven’t written a single one for over a month and I seriously doubt that I could even remember one day in full detail. But like someone who just woken up from a coma and can’t remember who they are, I decided to look through photos on my phone to see what has happened the last few weeks of 2015 and the first few of 2016. Oh yeah happy new year! I do hope you spent it with loved ones. I did! I actually spooned my father to keep warm in a very cold desert… But more on that later. One last thing before I begin I kind of didn't have any photos to include on this blog so instead I have added photos ... read more

I MADE AN INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT BECAUSE I LOVE MARK ZUCKERBERG Monday – Hot water! Just before I start the blog this week I must be honest. Writing the blog is really starting to drain me. Writing it all then putting it on TravelBlog.com with photos and everything else etc really is taking up so much time and it’s making me lose motivation doing it and other things in the centre. So I have decided that instead of writing every single day I have just included the highlights and not include the days were pretty much nothing happened worth mentioning. As always Happy Reading. I had a day off today and instead of pissing about I decided to do something. I had a list of things planned to do today and I accomplished them all! Sort of. ... read more

LET ME IN Monday – Making friends Where to begin? Today was by far one of my most favourite days in Aqaba… So far. There was two dives with the two lovely French guys in the morning. We dove at the tank site and I decided to bring Ahmed along with me as he needed the dives. Abdallah drove the van to the site as told to by Mohamed… I don’t think Mo trusts me with the van as I nearly destroyed it last time. In time I will drive it again! Inshallah. First dive was excellent. Nothing too substantial or unusual to be seen but the tank is always an exceptionally enjoyable dive site! We headed back to the beach and changed the tanks around. Upon surfacing Ahmed Shower (I still can’t believe his last ... read more

A very slow week... Monday – I have become the child snatcher First of all let me tell you guys that this blog was... A struggle. I ended up writing all of it on the 7th December and so I forgot the vast majority of what happened this week, which is why I need to write my blogs, otherwise I would forget everything! Yes I have a mind like a civ. But the blog after this one made up for it as it is my longest blog so far because it included my 5 hour border control palaver in Israel. For those of you who didn’t read my first blog I basically met the child snatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Here is the segment from my first blog: *At this point I had just arrived ... read more

Monday - SMILE FOR THE CAMERA Today was an unusual day as I did a dive but the dive centre made no money! Basically today we had an event marking the 30th Anniversary of the Cedar Pride shipwreck sinking at the request of Abdullah the Divemaster but more commonly known as the King of Jordan way back in 1985 (it is a shame he didn’t sink a DeLorean). Turkish Airlines sponsored the event today that invited all dive centres to take part in showing off the shipwreck by taking down some VIP people, I am not sure about what organisation they were from but they were from… Somewhere. Around 60 or 70 divers were in the water looking for one of those small airlines that typically travel agents have on their desks with a curved support ... read more

Winter is coming... Monday - Mucky I was supposed to dive with Mohamed and Ole today to do some Muck diving! Muck diving is when you dive at a site where nobody really dives because there is so much human waste (litter not poo). There is many things that you can see there that you wouldn’t normally see so I was super excited to go! But instead 2 South African’s turned up. They were a couple in their 70’s and the guy was a veteran diver and his wife just wanted to snorkel. I was a bit concerned as the guy was in his early 70’s and old divers don’t have healthy bodies like they used too! What if he keeled over on the dive! Before I continue I would just like to say that he ... read more
