This is the last one ! Jerusalem is definately a place to add to your list of places to see . I really enjoyed my time there . I met some very interesting people , had fascinating walks , great food , spiritual experiences , and developed a greater appreciation for the past . A reminder to clip on to the photos to enlarge them and see details .

Until the next journey.

From the Mount of Olives looking down to the city. The side of the Mount is relatively unsettled . There are churches and monestaries/convents not private homes. There are also MANY graveyards.Jewish on the Mount side and Moslem on the embankment sloping up to the walls of the city.

Always vigilant . In and around the old city there was ALWAYS a military/police presence . On rooves , walls and in the streets as well . It was a busy time in the city and they were operating on high alert . It wasn't threatening ... it was actually reassuring.

great photos
Hi Pamela, Great photos - have to say, it was a lovely walk down memory lane - it certainly is not a place that will change - your trip was much more extensive than mine though so it was good to see some new sites as well. MAK
