Lord where do I begin...I have 1400 pics taken in the month I was in Israel. It is a beautiful and an interesting country . For my hard copies I created 2 albums ... Israel and Jerusalem ...I think a sample of each will finish off this Journey's Blog. I hope you enjoy this group .

Nazareth ... this gentleman made the most delicious pancakes . Small and filled with nuts or with cheese. My they were a good lunch.

A fig tree getting it's leaves . Spring was early there and it was quite warm ...the leaves were out completely when I left 4 days later.

Site of the Sermon on the Mount (the Beatitudes). It was quite beautiful there . I could see down to the Sea as well as to Capernm . Things are really close by our standards.

The Church of the Annunciatoin in Nazareth . It was huge . They had depictiond of Mary from different countries on the courtyard walls and inside of the church . I found them really interesting. The cultural preferances said a lot about perseptions of Mary and her role (s) .

Haifa looking downhill to the Bahai compound . Great buildings . Haifa ,like most of the Israeli cities I was in is built on hills , steep hills . Great views.

The Meditaranean beach at Netanya. My resting spot . I walked miles on this beach and loved every minute of it ... a great spot to reflect on all that I was seeing.

A paasailer taken from the kitchen/eating area at my friend's cono. I was impressed . There were 3 of them cavorting out there before sunset one evening.

Contemplating ...
Looked at these over and over contemplating how the 'Jesus Walk' would have 'moved' me along with all the other significant religious sites -- everything looks so tidy and clean -- remarkable after all the years! Passed up a 'Holy Land' tour with the church some years back and am now 'black and blue' from kicking myself. Thanks so much for at least a vicarious pleasure through your lens Pamela -- Lucille
