Are you travelling in N. India, on your way there or on your way out of there? If so, have you had any train or plane delays?

Quote from Fog over New Delhi

I just returned to Germany, after a couple of weeks in India. My flight to Delhi was delayed for 2 days and my flight out of Delhi was delayed by 10 hours. I got lucky with the trains while I was in India, but some trains were delayed for 6 or 7 hours.

Train delays in India? Say it ain't so! 😉

Other than your delays, I hope the trip lived up to the expectations. I'm envious.

In my experience, Indian Railways is fully capable of being delayed in any weather. I think they're on the cutting edge of rail delay-technology...

The fun part about long term travel (at least in my experience) is that the delays didn't bother me. If I'm delayed 5 hours here in the States, I'm pretty ticked off. But when traveling last year it never really bothered me. There are various reasons for that...but it still is a nice mindset to be in. Reply to this

I like the delay announcements in India. ''The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted''.
Here in Europe they say 'We appologise for any inconvenience caused'' as if there might be some doubt that inconveniece is caused. Reply to this
