Reply to this Thanks, guys... really spectacular experience... 3 weeks early, and he slid out quickly (7 hrs) like a noodle.
Our plans are going ahead... I actually called the airline (Finnair) and booked the tickets for just the adults... then called up after he was born and added him to the booking. His flight price was negligible (£19) but we did have to pay for a booking change. Still it was a lot less than the price the flights had risen to in the mean time!
As for diapers, we're actually being as green as possible and using real (terry towelling) nappies. Also helps on the wallet. This trip will probably be the first time he's been anywhere near a disposable so hopefully the Japanese variety are up to standard (I've seen some threads on thorn tree that suggest they're better than ours). 😊
