My girlfriend and I have taken our 9 year old out of school for the year to educate her "on the road" - we're both teachers. Not hippies. Despite the van. | We're planning the trip to start in France in September, and work our way East as far as we can go until we have to think about turning around and coming back. We've been trying to plan a sensible budget for the trip, but realise we know little about what a realistic budget per day would be. Does anyone out there have any suggestions about how much we can realistically expect to spend per day if we're (generally) sleeping in the van? Has anyone done a similar trip?
