This was a quick dash through all three countries.
We visited family that I hadn“t seen in a long time and met others that I“d never met. Very exciting.
We traveled from Glasgow through the highlands in Scotland and as far north as Ulleypoole. We also went to Edinburgh castle. Scotland is so different from what I remember and I definitely have a different outlook on it. Beautiful country. Thanks to Cathy, Cully, Alice, Frank, Laura,Keith, Nicky, Jack and Andrew for all your hospitality. We had a great time.
In England we went to the English Riviera - Torquay and saw a few neighboring communities. We especially liked Cockington - a very quaint old village. Bill especially liked the scones with jam and clotted cream. His mouth stills waters when he thinks about them. Thanks to Christine, Andrew, Sean and Deklin for all your hospitality. It was fun times. Bill says to remind Brendan of the bacon and beaver.
In Ireland we went from Dublin to Cork and then to the west coast, Killarney and a small village called Dingle. We really enjoyed Dingle with all its friendly people and beautiful scenery. Thanks to Oliver and Ann
for your hospitality. It was wonderful to meet you both. Don“t forget to let us know when you are on our side of the world so that we can meet up.
It was great seeing everyone and I promise not to wait another 35 years before we return.
Sorry there are no pictures but we have to get our cards downloaded. Will send some soon.
Take care everyone.
UllapoolPretty town in the north of Scotland. Great fish and chips served here next to the heart clinic.
A beautiful beachThere were people swimming in the ocean north of Ullapool. The Scots are a hardy lot.
The GrampiansSuch a nice drive through the hills on our way to Glasgow.
EdinburghHad a nice day triip to Edinbugh with Joanne“s aunt and uncle from Glasgow.
