Arrived Oban after train journey Thursday From Wigan via Glasgow. Uneventful except for train delay to Oban while police removed someone from the train! Train relaxing, but too many trees along line so views are not as good as from roads. Walked from station to "Rose View" camp site couple of miles outside central Oban. Recommend the site to anyone, clean, tidy and out of the way with good facilities. Friday Rain rain rain. Got very wet wandering around Oban awaiting the later ferry. Calmac one ferry down, so we were on a slower later sailing. Put rucksacks in travel office near the pier, charge a pound an hour per bag but kind woman only charged us a pound for over an hour for two.
