Ladies and gentlemen behold our vessel, our chariot, our work horse, the car (as yet with no name - until Helen gets a hold of him/her)!!! Visited the workshop of Liveridge4X4 where our defender is being reconditioned from a LHD Spanish police vehicle to what will be our wonderful 10 seater Bonjour64 defender. These pictures were taken about 4 days ago and yes it does look a little tatty around the edges, there is no interior if you look under the bonnet there is a very large void where our 200TDI should be!!!! HOWEVER - these guys can perform miracles, since the photos the engine has gone in and it has totted off to the paint shop to be pimped! Hello All. Very sorry for lack of news and photos! Things are still slowly plodding along - we now have a frim signing date for our final papers on the house. We will hopefully be flying back out to france on the 17th of September for a signing date of the 20th. Once this is done the house is well and truly ours!!! We get the keys and everything!! We will return pretty much straight away and we will then be looking at a final moving date around mid to end of October for myself and helen will follow shortly after. Well as the song goes "my bags are packed and I'm ready to go..." except that our Jetplane is actually a 1.3 Ford Ka - not quite as impressive but what is is the amount of stuff that we have managed to fit into the Ka named Cornelius. We have the tent - which we shall call home for the next 10 weeks, inflatable mattress, sleeping bags, duvet, camping stove, lantern, crockery, cutlery, kettle, saucepan, table and chairs, pillows, fire extinguisher (well Ben will be cooking occasionally!!!), and of course a change of clothes or two. We have also to Ben's horror the obligatory pair of Speedos that he will have to wear in the municipal Piscines - for photos please email!!!
